Reporting to the Curriculum Director, the lesson plan developer will work alongside other team members to brainstorm and create learning activities for high school students based on the director’s proposed narrative, Yaqeen content, and other recommended sources. Please review our published curriculum units for a sense of our expected quality, organization, and depth.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet and collaborate with the curriculum team to produce and revise lesson plan drafts for each unit
  • Identify essential content and/or potential gaps in knowledge
  • Formulate and ensure alignment of learning objectives, instructional strategies, and formative and summative assessments
  • Present updates to the team for discussion and approval
  • Regularly attend briefs and group meetings where appropriate
  • Provide recommendations, modifications, and edits to the curriculum
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of the classical Islamic disciplines (e.g. uṣūl al-dīn, uṣul al-fiqh, ʿilm al-ḥadīth, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the major discourses in the field of Islamic Studies as developed primarily by Western academia
  • Minimum education required: bachelor’s degree in related disciplines and formal training in Islamic studies
  • Minimum 2 years high-school teaching experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to critique and discuss his/her own work and the work of others in a constructive manner
  • Demonstrate an aptitude to present concepts and work
  • Must be able to analyze and organize Islamic academic research through working knowledge of the beliefs, values, and practices of Islam

Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research is looking for a Product Owner to own the strategy and execution of our new Yaqeen Jr product. Yaqeen Product Owner works cross-functionally with engineers, creative, marketing, data, and research to build world class Islamic products. We are looking for extremely entrepreneurial Product Owners who move quickly, can help innovate, and coherently drive product initiatives from 0 → 1.

Yaqeen Jr is a new initiative at Yaqeen and will require the Product Owner to deeply understand the core audience, build a strategy and roadmap, execute and measure success of the product. Experimentation and customer empathy are critical for this role. The primary focus will be taking ambiguous and complex problems and breaking them down to take action to build the best solution for our audience.

What do Muslim American kids go through? What pain points do they have in their journey? What is their journey? And what can we do to solve these problems? These are some of the questions the Product Owner will be tackling in order to build a world class solution for our Muslim American children.

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for assisting the Director of Development and the Development Department in their fundraising roles by finding and preparing donor data for import into Yaqeen’s customer relationship management (CRM) tool, Salesforce.

Responsibilities:
  • Models Islamic character and professionally represents the Yaqeen brand.
  • Prepares files for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
  • Enters new and updated donor, donation, and profile data.
  • Verifies entered donor data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
  • Fixes mistakes by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents for resolution.
  • Combines data from different systems and data sources when account profile information is incomplete.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains donor confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of donor information and other sensitive information.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a passion for data management, accuracy and reporting.

We are looking for a highly capable Salesforce Administrator to ensure that our organization capitalizes on the benefits offered by the Salesforce CRM system.

To ensure success as a Salesforce Administrator, you should possess extensive knowledge of Salesforce system administration and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products.
  • Upgrading and configuring Salesforce systems for optimized integration.
  • Managing Salesforce roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, and groups.
  • Importing leads, contacts, and other data.
  • Maintaining the NPSP apps, as well as building custom reports and dashboards.
  • Performing database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing.
  • Evaluating and installing new Salesforce releases, as well as providing training and support.
  • Documenting processes, including error reports and changes to field history tables.
  • Preparing reports for all departments using Salesforce.
Required Skills:
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator.
