Director of Media

Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Media. This individual will be responsible for leading the organization's media initiatives, overseeing the creative process from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media production, a passion for storytelling, and a commitment to the mission and values of Yaqeen.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive media production strategy aligned with Yaqeen's mission and goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate media initiatives into broader organizational strategies.
• Lead and inspire a team of creative professionals, including videographers, animators, editors, writers, and other production staff.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
• Oversee all aspects of media and film production projects, from concept development to post-production.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Work closely with the content development team to create compelling and impactful stories that align with Yaqeen's mission.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to accurately represent the organization's work.
• Manage budgetary resources for media and film production, making informed decisions to optimize the use of funds.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in media production and recommend relevant tools to enhance the organization's capabilities.
• Explore innovative storytelling techniques to engage diverse audiences.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, professional media content that effectively communicates the organization's message.
• Establish and maintain production standards and guidelines.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, including filmmakers, production companies, and other organizations.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to integrate media content into broader strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in film, media production, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in media and film production, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Familiarity with nonprofit and social impact sectors is a plus.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software and technologies.
